Looking at the workspace

The SiteXpress workspace consists of two frames. The top frame contains the current web page; the bottom frame contains the toolbar. You use the vertical and horizontal scrollbars to adjust your view of the current web page.

There are 2 options that will not work with the trial site.

The register option will show a 'page not found' error. This option would allow you to sign up for a domain name and website hosting. We have disabled this option and ask you to order directly from our website.

The publish button will show a 'page not found' error as you have not signed up for website hosting yet and you do not have a site to publish to.

Changing Modes

When you login to Sitexpress you will check the bottom tab to what area you want to edit and then check an option to edit. For example:

If you want to edit some text on a page you would:

1. check 'Page' on the bottom
2. click the 'Edit Item' option
3. hold your cursor over the item you want to edit and you will see the 'edit' popup
4. click the item you want to edit

Same thing if you want to delete an item on a certain page:

If you want to delete some text on a page you would:

1. check 'Page' on the bottom
2. click the 'Delete Item' option
3. hold your cursor over the item you want to delete and you will see the 'delete' popup
4. click the item you want to delete

Navigating

Whenever you add a page to your website, it is automatically appended to the navigation bar, a list of hyperlinks that display on each page of you website. You use the navigation bar to load a new page into the workspace-your visitors will use your navigation bar to navigate your site after you have published it.

Previewing

As you build your website in SiteXpress, you can preview what each page will look like when published. Simply press the Preview button on the toolbar to launch the page without the inline buttons.
